This site and people associated have been working with US Agencies and Panama Officials to help arrest and convict over 25 major fugitives from Justice to Federal and Foreign Prisons also helping to deport undesirables. We would like to offer them our sincerest thanks for the long hours and efforts in helping Clean up Panama and in bringing fugitives to Justice. There have been many references that have no validity to the person(s), their credentials, information has been wrongly reported and the web sites and or authors should be questions as to the facts of their information. Universities do no disseminate information on graduates without the written consent of the Graduate. Most information on the web can be easily generated without confirmation. There are many disreputable companies, individuals that use the internet for the purpose of discrediting anyone they disagree with. Be sure to verify all sources before accepting the information as valid. We recommend you protect your identity, identity assassination is as easily as theft. Reading and forwarding false information is a criminal offense in most countries. Panama has passed new laws that if you are forwarding false information you can be imprisoned
The most notable was the San Cristobal Land Scam; which lead to the arrest and conviction of Thom McMurrain who received 5 years in a Federal Prison with over 187 Counts of criminal charges against him, he is still serving time, the noted couple from England that used a death scam and came to Panama are now in England prisons.
Information was obtained without the help of the publication www.panama-guide.com which lead us to Thom McMurrain, which was one of the web sites promoting Land sells for Thom McCurrain's company and receiving compensation from McMurrain's company. We thoroughly investigated all web sites promoting Land Sells in Panama as areas of possible criminal activity and found that most had ties to Land Sells in Panama where the publisher received kickbacks from the Land Promoters. This doesn't mean that the publishers were doing something illegal but it puts to question the ethics associated with the advertising of these sites by the publishers.
Over the years we have found that most Panamanian/US operators that attacked any new venture (Such as this web site, the attacks on this web site began immediately upon hosting and have continued till February 6th, 2009). Anytime the attackers felt that attention would be drawn to their questionable activities, threaten their existence or interfere with their day-to-day business the attacks started and became more viscous with the intent to distract from their illegal activities or associations. The attackers in most cases, where perpetrators or some how involved in the criminal activities in Panama or somehow associated with these business ventures either through direct ownership, kickbacks or commissions or simply their own criminal actions.
We would like to warn any US or Foreign Citizen considering investing in any business/Land Investment ventures in Panama, to work closely with Law enforcement and creditable attorneys to make sure that the transactions are valid and protected under the Law of Panama and maybe protected under US Law. There are Title Agencies from the US Operating in Panama such as Stewart Title from Houston they should be considered when purchasing any type of land. There is titled land and possessionary rights land, the latter is not as secure as titled land, it is a lease from the Government for 99 years or until such time as the government might need this land. Island land falls within this type of sale.
Many fraudulent transactions have been reported as having originated from web sites purporting great land deals, as of February 7, 2009 there have been over 7,800 reported land scams in Panama, from the sale of untitled lands or lands not owned by the so called seller or by someone claiming to be the seller, many claim to own the land under squatters rights which is not always a legal process.
Purchasing raw land in hopes of returning and building later when you retire can be a serious area of concern, it is recommended that a creditable property manager watch over you property, taking pictures with date and time for future proof that the 10 year time table of squatters rights has not taken place.
The Scam: It has been reported once the sale is consummated and the seller sees you the owner leave, they put a local Indian on the land and then the Indian claims the land under squatters' rights as their own, the original seller then pays the Indian and the land scam starts again. You return to find that you do not own the land you thought you purchased.
Be warry of any type of promotions from Web sites, again these sites have no regulation under any law, and therefore can offer all kinds of opportunities, just like the old days of snake oil salesmen. Word of caution when doing business in Panama, legal ramifications are not easily remedied, the average length of time to get before a judge is 10-12 years. In most cases if you are not a local your chances of winning are diminished significantly.
Investment opportunities such as Teak wood plantations for the purpose of getting Panamanian Passport seem to be at the highest, along with agricultural investment opportunities. However there are other ways that are safer and provide the same opportunities to get your Panamanian Passport. If American dual citizenship is legal. The Pensioner Visa offers greater benefits, than a Panamanian Passport.
Panama is a great country and offers many opportunities to a wonderful life but great caution needs to be the word of working in business or land ventures in Panama.
Be forewarned that the web sites that make these claims are in the business to make money at any cost! That means your money as fast as possible.

Todate this site has been attacked by several people who claim to have some sort of creditability in Panama, this is what we had hoped for in flushing out the unscrupulous characters in Panama. All documentation revolving around this site, has been forwarded to the appropriate authorities for further investigation as to their business activities in Panama.
